1. The agreement
These terms govern the relationship between you (an individual or a business) and Francesco Checchia (VAT no. 04429140710) for the use of the appost.io platform. By using the service you accept these terms in full. If you don't agree with them, don't use the service.
If you use appost.io as a business and entrust us with third parties' personal data, our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) applies as well.
2. Account and access
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into contracts.
- You are responsible for the security of your credentials and for what happens from your account.
- Preview access is by invitation: credentials are personal and must not be shared.
- We can suspend an account where its use breaches these terms, giving notice where possible.
- You can close your account and request deletion of the associated data at any time. The procedure, the grace period and the timings are described in the privacy policy (and, for social platform data, in its dedicated section).
3. Access, preview and subscriptions
The preview phase
appost.io is currently in preview, by invitation. During this phase access is free: there are no paid plans and no charges, we don't ask for a card, and there is no automatic renewal.
When we introduce subscriptions
Before switching on paid plans we will publish prices, terms and billing conditions here, and we will tell you in advance. No charge will be made without an explicit choice on your part. Staying in the preview does not oblige you to move to a paid plan.
Cancellation
During the preview you can stop using the service whenever you want, with no penalty and no lock-in. Once paid plans exist, cancelling will always be something you can do yourself.
4. Generated content
The content you produce with appost.io is yours. You have full commercial ownership of the copy and images generated. You can export it, edit it and monetise it without limits.
You are responsible for the content you publish on your channels, including content generated by the platform. AI-generated content can contain errors or inaccuracies: review it before you publish it. appost.io is a tool; the editorial and legal decisions are yours.
When you connect a social account (Meta, LinkedIn, WordPress), you authorise us to publish and to analyse your brand's content on your behalf, within the limits of the permissions you grant. You are responsible for holding the rights and authorisations needed for the accounts and the content you connect. Which platform data we process, and how to revoke or delete it, is described in the privacy policy.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use appost.io to:
- Generate or publish content that is illegal, defamatory, fraudulent or hateful.
- Run large-scale political disinformation, or undisclosed deepfakes of real people.
- Send spam or manipulate social platform algorithms.
- Attack the infrastructure, reverse-engineer it, or scrape it without authorisation.
- Infringe third parties' intellectual property.
Serious breaches: immediate suspension and a report to the competent authorities.
6. Intellectual property
The appost.io platform (code, design, trade mark, documentation) belongs to Francesco Checchia. The content you generate is yours (section 4). You grant appost.io a limited licence to process it in order to deliver the service, and nothing more.
We do not sell your content and we do not use it for anything other than delivering the service to you. The providers that process data on our behalf are listed in the privacy policy and in the DPA.
7. Service availability
During the preview the service is provided on a best-effort basis: there is no contractual service level (SLA), and there may be interruptions or changes. We try to give you notice of planned maintenance where we can. Any availability commitments will be defined together with the paid plans.
8. Limitations of liability
The platform is provided "as is". We do our best, but we do not guarantee absolute perfection, all the more so during the preview. To the extent permitted by law, appost.io's total liability is limited to the amount, if any, paid over the last 12 months; during the free preview that amount is zero. Liabilities that the law does not allow to be excluded remain unaffected.
We are not liable for: loss of followers or engagement, moderation decisions taken by social networks, or published content that causes you reputational harm (editorial responsibility stays with you).
9. Shutting the service down
If we decide to shut appost.io down or to end the preview, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your content. No surprise charges. Once paid plans exist, we will set a minimum notice period in their conditions.
10. Governing law
Italian law applies. For business customers, the competent court is the one where the appost.io owner is established. If you are a consumer rather than a business, the protections and the forum provided by the law of your country of residence apply.
